Getting started

Follow this step-by-step guide to create and deploy your first MCP server in under 3 minutes.

Start building
1
Create Your Account
Sign up for Cospec and set up your workspace

Visit app.cospec.ai and sign up with your email address. You'll be able to create and deploy MCP servers immediately.

💡 Cospec supports teams out of the box, so you can invite teammates and share workflows easily.

2
Add Connections
Connect the apps that you want to use in your workflows

Go to the Connections page to set up OAuth integrations with services like:

GitHub
GitHub
Airtable
Airtable
Notion
Notion
Slack
Slack

Each connection you add will be available to use in your specs through secure OAuth tokens.

3
Creating your first spec
Define the capabilities of your MCP server using our editor

Navigate to the specs section in your dashboard

  • Add a title and description for your MCP server
  • Use slash commands to add tools and functions from connections like GitHub, Airtable, Notion, and more
  • Add instructions for your AI agent to understand how you want them to use the tools
4
Deploy Your MCP Server
One-click remote deployments with OAuth 2.0 security

Once your spec is ready, click the Deploy button. We'll deploy your own private remote instance behind OAuth 2.0 security.

5
Configure Your IDE
Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or any MCP-compatible client

After deployment, you'll receive a unique URL for your MCP server. Add this URL to your preferred IDE:
